Agile WordPress Development & In-Browser Design for Local Services
About the Project
For this project, I developed a complete digital presence—featuring a high-converting landing page and a dynamic blog—for a local cleaning company. Executed in partnership with Enlivy, the goal was to deliver a fast, lightweight, and bloat-free website tailored specifically for the local service market, allowing the client to easily manage their content and capture leads.

Breaking the Mold: Designing in the Browser
Unlike traditional development workflows that require a separate, time-consuming UI phase in Figma, I adopted a highly agile "design-in-the-browser" strategy for this platform.
Relying on my own design intuition and understanding of conversion-focused layouts, I conceptualized and built the visual interface simultaneously with the frontend code. This hands-on approach allowed for rapid iteration. Instead of guessing how a static mockup might translate to a live environment, I had immediate, real-world visualization of how the typography, spacing, and layout behaved dynamically across mobile, tablet, and desktop screens.
Technical Execution: Engineered with the Enlivy Kit
A beautiful design means nothing if the website is slow or difficult for the client to use. Working alongside the Enlivy team, the technical implementation was centered around creating a robust, high-performance architecture.
Using the proprietary Enlivy Kit, I engineered a bespoke suite of custom Gutenberg blocks from scratch. By bypassing heavy, third-party page builders, I ensured the codebase remained incredibly lightweight. This modular block system provides the client with a seamless, intuitive backend experience, giving them total autonomy to update text, swap images, and publish new blog posts without breaking the layout.
The Final Delivery: Speed Meets Aesthetics
By fusing the design and development phases into a single, fluid process, the turnaround time from initial concept to the final launch was drastically reduced.
The end result is a clean, lightning-fast website that perfectly balances aesthetic appeal with technical efficiency. The platform now serves as a highly optimized digital storefront, featuring a user-friendly interface that builds trust and drives engagement within the local service market.
